Rebound Therapy Room

Our Rebound Therapy Room contains a full-size trampoline used for therapeutic exercises. Sessions are led by trained rebound therapists who support clients as they bounce. The trampoline surface is firm but cushioned for safety. Under therapist guidance, clients can perform gentle bouncing, seated weight shifts or targeted movements.

We also integrate fun elements like catch-ball games or light rhythm exercises on the trampoline. The room is padded around the edges to prevent injury and has soft mats on the floor for additional safety. Rebound therapy is always closely supervised by at least two therapists to keep it safe and effective.

How the Service Enhances Quality of Life

Rebound therapy has powerful benefits for motor and sensory development. The rhythmic movement provides deep pressure input that many find calming. It helps develop core strength, balance and coordination as clients adjust to the motion. Studies and reports note that rebound sessions improve muscle tone and core stability, even enabling some who usually use wheelchairs to stand and move.

Socially, many clients become highly motivated during rebound; we’ve observed clients especially those on the autism spectrum communicate more and follow instructions eagerly because the trampoline is so engaging. Success on the trampoline boosts self-esteem tremendously, giving clients something they can “do well,” which carries over to other activities. In essence, rebound therapy turns exercise into play, yielding gains in physical health and emotional well-being.

Frequently Ask Questions

It’s exercise therapy using a full-size trampoline. Clients bounce, sit, kneel or stand on the trampoline with therapist support. It’s also called therapeutic trampolining.
Most clients with physical or learning disabilities can try it, unless there are medical contraindications (like severe cardiac issues, recent fractures). We assess everyone first.
Yes. We use safety harnesses and always have therapists spotting each client. The trampoline has padded edges. Therapists know when to have someone sit or stand to maintain balance. We start gently and progress carefully.
The up-and-down motion stimulates the vestibular (balance) and proprioceptive (body position) systems. This improves balance and awareness of body in space. The impact also strengthens muscles and bones.
It's more dynamic and sensory than typical exercises. While others use treadmills or weights, rebound adds fun. Clients often forget they’re “exercising” because they feel like they’re just playing.
Clients might practice standing tall on the trampoline, bouncing on their bottom, or doing gentle squats with support. We also play games like “catch the ball” while jumping or blowing bubbles to pop.
Usually once or twice a week, 15–30 minutes per session, depending on each client’s stamina. We adapt frequency to each person’s goals (some might do two 15-minute sessions per visit).
The game-like setting often motivates even those who don’t usually follow cues. We use simple signs or hand-over-hand assistance. Some clients who rarely respond to therapy are very engaged on the trampoline.
Home trampolines are not recommended because they lack the safety harness and trained therapists. For safety and maximum benefit, it should be done under professional supervision.
Families often report improved muscle tone, better posture and more interest in physical activity. Some children become more verbal or communicative around rebound. It’s great for building confidence as clients master new skills (like jumping).
